This May, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is The Race Centre’s Track of the Month. Situated just outside of Barcelona in Spain, The Circuit de Catalunya was built for the 1991 Spanish Grand Prix and has been hosting them ever since.
This circuit is notable for its mix of fast sweeping sections and low-speed technical bends, as well as the bumpy road surface. All of this combined makes Catalunya a demanding circuit both physically and mechanically.

To make things even more exciting, the expert driver with the fastest lap time on the track of the month will win a cash prize of £50! And don’t forget, there are also prizes worth up to £250 across 4 different classes of vehicles.

In addition to the expert drivers in Class A taking on a 2023 Formula 1 car, The Race Centre’s Track of the Month also offers an exciting opportunity for drivers across different classes of vehicles.
In Class B, test your skills behind the wheel of the 2022 Formula 2 car, designed with aerodynamic perfection and powered by an engine that delivers an exhilarating performance on the track. Feel the adrenaline rush as you take on the challenging curves and turns of Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya.
For Class C drivers, we offer the chance to experience the agility and power of the Tatuus FT-60. This car is a single-seater race car specifically designed for Formula 3 racing, and with its nimble handling and powerful engine, it’s sure to be an exciting ride around the circuit.
And for Class D drivers, there’s the Tatuus USF-17, a single-seater race car specifically designed for the Formula 4 category. This lightweight and agile car is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that delivers impressive performance on the track.

By the way, you are welcome to drive any of the month’s vehicles at any time in an Open Practice Session (please select Halifax as the host venue). As a rule, all lap times and telemetry are recorded for your immediate viewing and future reference.

Who can win?
For instance, new drivers to The Race Centre will be automatically classified as a Class D driver. As a result of winning in a class will gain you promotion to the next class. Lastly, you have to win Class B twice to progress to Class A.

In short, Competition Terms and Conditions
As a rule. all potential prize winning laps must be verified by a TRC staff member.
In all cases, for a lap to be legal, your vehicle must have two or more wheels inside or touching the white lines at all times.
Furthermore, vehicles must be running all standard TRC settings for the month.
By the way, free entry to First Monday is for the next event and is non transferable.
Also, multiple Class wins within a month will result in prizes for the highest win only. Ordinarily, lower “wins” will be passed to the next highest competitors.
Consequently, TRC Staff are not eligible to win prizes. Consequently, any winning positions held by staff will defer to the next highest driver.
Lastly, cash prizes available at the following First Monday event or within a max of 30 days of competition end.
