Junior Coaching Every Thursday
Our sessions are hosted by John Ingleby. A professional coach and referee. They start at 4pm every Thursday, when John will teach the basics of the game to interested juniors. Learn the rules and etiquette of this great game, as well as how to improve your stance and cueing action from a true gentleman of the snooker world. Did you also know that John is the inventor of the ball marker referees use when cleaning the cue ball, or when they check to see if a ball can be re-spotted correctly.
Coaching costs just £1 per session which is returned in trophies at our regular junior competitions. Table time is provided free of charge by Halifax Snooker Club.

Stan Moody – Future Looks Bright
The 11 year old young potting machine from Halifax is a member here, and has been playing the game for only a few years now. Halifax Snooker Club spotted his natural talent and sheer love and dedication for game, so we decided to sponsor his cause on becoming a future snooker professional. Our members clearly know when he is in the club playing, because they can hear the sweet sound of snooker balls slamming into the middle of the pockets. Watch this 137 total clearance at line-up. He averaged only 9.5 seconds per shot, which is probably quicker than most players take to chalk their cues.
