Are you ready to take your snooker to the next level? Halifax Snooker Club is officially recruiting players to represent us in the upcoming season. We are looking for dedicated players to join our community and compete across two fantastic local leagues.

Whether you are a seasoned league veteran or a club regular looking to try competitive play for the first time, we want to hear from you. We require at least 6 registered players per team, and if interest is high, we will look to enter multiple teams into each league!

We’ve hidden 9 mysterious images around the downstairs bowling area — but these aren’t just any ghosts… they’re our very own staff, transformed into creepy, funny, and sometimes downright terrifying versions of themselves!

Your mission: find all 9 haunted staff members and match them with their names to win a prize. Whether you’re a brave little ghost hunter or a cautious explorer, this eerie adventure is sure to keep you entertained between strikes and spares.

That’s not all — every junior bowler will also get the chance to spin the wheel and win an instant prize or treat! From sweets and surprises to special bowling goodies, there’s something exciting waiting on every spin.

ELECTRIC BOWL & COVID-19

Here’s what we’re doing to protect customers and staff now that Covid restrictions are easing:

• We’ve installed hand sanitising stations throughout the building, for customers and staff to use. We recommend that you continue to use them for now.

• We’re asking people to pre-book and pre-pay for their bowling experience whenever possible, in order to limit the amount of contact and cash-handling between customers and staff.

• Customers are asked to wear suitable footwear so that they can opt not to use our bowling shoes (please note that you may be asked to wear bowling shoes if your own footwear is deemed unsuitable).

• Different patterned bowling balls are available at each pair of lanes. You can easily tell which type you and your group is using if you want to reduce the amount of cross-contact between your group and the group on the adjacent lane.

• Lane-side service will still be available to help reduce the amount of people moving around the venue. However you are now free to order at the bar and walk around with food and drinks.

• We’re maintaining enhanced cleaning procedures, paying special attention to touchpoints like door handles, handrails, tables and chairs, amusement machines and toilet areas. Members of staff will adhere to strict hygiene standards.

• The wearing of face-coverings is now a matter of personal choice. We do recommend that you consider wearing a mask when moving around the building at really busy times. This is probably good practice for another few months.

• If you, or any of your party, are exhibiting symptoms of coronavirus on the day of your visit, please don’t enter the building. You’re booking can be refunded or moved to a later date.

• Signage is in place, reminding people to maintain good hand hygiene and respect each other’s space.

HALIFAX SNOOKER CLUB & FAST EDDIES

• Guests will be asked to pre-pay for their table time wherever possible.

• There are no longer any limits on group sizes.

• Balls, table edges, cues and equipment will be sanitized regularly.

• Food and drinks orders can be taken at, and delivered to, your table. However you can now order at the bar, and are free to sit or stand anywhere, with food and drinks

• If you, or any of your party, are exhibiting symptoms of coronavirus on the day of your visit, please don’t enter the building. You’re booking can be refunded or moved to a later date.

• Contactless payments are preferred, but cash is still welcome.

THE RACE CENTRE

• Please pre-book online or by phone where possible. We’ll try to arrange the timing of bookings to minimise congestion in the venue.

• All 10 Race Pods can now be used simultaneously.

• Please maintain good hand hygiene and respect other people’s space.

Galactic Golf is a brand new entertainment venue in Halifax, and is now open for business. We are located in the town centre on Horton St.  It will give people an of this world experience, boasting not just one, but two 18 hole, space themed adventure golf courses. The courses are named Moon Mission and Cosmic Quest. Which one will you play?
There is also an 80 seat diner, serving plenty of freshly prepared food and desserts. We also have some fun arcade machines and a pool table to keep the action going. The Gateway Bar is fully licensed and serves customers with a wide selection of adult drinks, as well as soft drinks and slushies for the kids.

There will also be a VIP room and bar, perfect for larger groups.
